How often do you replace the in-cabin filter?

My car has 14k miles on in but is an 07. According to the service manual it's due for the in-cabin microfilter replacement.
How often do you do this?
Do it yourself? How?
Where do you get your filter?
Thanks!

just buy the filter at the dealership and replace it yourself. theres DIY here on the forums
you can either replace it with the regular filter or the carbon one

oh yeah the manual states it needs to be replaced every 15k miles or earlier if you like

I replaced mine at about 62,000 miles -- a little late but it wasn't too dirty, though I don't know if it had maybe been replaced previously. DIY is not too difficult, search for the video from 'bythabay'. You can get it from Nissan, or most anyplace that sells a good selection of air filters. I replaced mine with a Wix unit.

Here is the video referenced above. It says it's for a sedan, prior to 2007, which is what I have. Looks like it will work though.

Never! Still running the stock one. My cabin smells just fine.

If it starts to get smelly, I will replace it with one of those charcoal element filters.

Amazon has good prices on the Fram ones that have the Arm and Hammer baking soda "built" into it...ordered one for the G and waiting for it to come in. I have 19k on my car and this will be the first time replacing it.

IMO every 15k is overkill. You can definitely go longer than that w/o any issues.

i read somewhere that recommended replacement time is 12K miles...that's basically once a year.

it literally takes 15 minutes of your time and only around $20, so why not just do it every year? it's like oil changes...the more the better

Honestly, once a year is more than enough. These filters don't really get THAT dirty, unless you drive around in an area with a lot of harsh climate changes.
