Grinding noise: suspension or feathering tires?
When I drive the coupe between 10 and 30 mph I notice like a grinding noise that sounds once per revolution of the front passenger tire. I initially thought that it could be a warped rotor but the brake pedal never pulsates. I looked for something related to this in the forum and Iíve found the feathering tire issue and went and checked mine. They are cupping in the inside, not much yet (10k miles on them).
This could be the reason of the sound but I was thinking that a feathering tire would make a constant hum while it is spinning, not the noise-quiet-noise-quiet I can hear. I tried to find a pattern but is not related to any driving condition other than slow speed. It seems that at higher speeds is still there but at very low level.
I took the G to the dealer and they said that an alignment could help it. Maybe a tire rotation but they did not find anything else. Rotors were ok. I decided to wait and see.
I will appreciate any help/comment from the group.
