xxr 521 20x8.5 +32(F) & 20x10.5r +30 (R)

Am looking at buying these for 06 coupe. I'm not sure if the previous owner lowered the car, but it appears a bit lower than stock. I was looking at 245/35/20 (F) and 285/30/20 (R). Any recommendations for tires for owners with 20's? Will I need to roll my fenders to prevent rubbing? I've done searches but it seems like there are many different ways to go about it. thanks.

I can't say for sure about any rubbing or fender rolling- but if you want to stay as close as possible to the overall diameter of the stock wheels you would need 255/30/20 for the fronts.

I'm on 20's but not lowered yet, so there hasn't been any need for any kind of extra work. You'll be fine until you need to lower it.

Those tire sizes are good and with those offsets you shouldnt rub. You will probably find that you will want spacers.

i have those wheels in gunmetal, same sizes... im running 245/35/20 front and 275/35/20 rear.. definitely wanna go with like a 285 cuz the 275 is not wide enough and its stretched in the back..

if you wanna put spacers, you'll definitely need to roll the fenders, or just run a skinnier tire. I think the 275 i have on there would still be good for about 5mm..

The 245/35/20 I have on the fronts make the combo pretty meaty looking and doesnt look right with the 275 in the rear... I only went with the 275 cuz the previous owner had 20x10 rears with those tires.. Tires still had plenty of tread left so i reused them.

the fronts could probably use spacers.. I'm not 100% positive, but it looks like my car came with H-Techs as the springs are gold in color and the rear has a gap to it that doesnt look great when looking straight on to the face of the wheel. I'll probably go with S-Techs some time in the future, but I'm pretty sure the 275 rears wont touch the fender even without a roll.

You may also want to consider doing 20x10.5 all around.. I cant remember where, but I saw a picture with a G35 Coupe 20x10.5 all around and it still looked pretty damn nice.

BTW guys, in case there is any wrong info on my post, please don't judge me :P I'm coming from an 05 WRX so this whole large wheel fitting deal is new to me.. plus I don't know the G35 coupes all that well.. I went from 16's to 20's without going anywhere in between so its a pretty big jump for me, lol

If your not on a budget i woudn't recommend getting these for a coupe. I thought about getting them too but they just arn't aggressive enough. Saw these in person many times and they get pretty boring. Save your money and get something with at least a 9.5 front and that way you'll look more flush with rolled fenders

just my 2 cents

i kinda second this, even though i got the wheels myself....but i wasnt happy with the offset at all, and i actually am running 25mm spacers all around to make up the difference...and now i like the look, but i may just need to go a tad bit lower in the rear, thinking spring mount mod too compelment the s-techs springs. with the spacers my rears pook out and my front are moderatly flush..

would love to see some pictures bro, but even with spacers you cannot make the front lip bigger =(. it's not aggressive in that sense to me. If your going for just lowering springs I suggest getting coilovers they are well worth it and the difference is amazing. If your on a budge with coilovers I found a pretty decent set on craigslist if anyone's interested in SOCAL area

Yeah the front rims aren't really aggressive regarding the lip, because its pretty flush...yeah with the spacer it pretty much is flush, not aggressive, I liked my last set of rims better, the xxr wheels with the aniodized red lips.....liked them better wih the spacers. I'm on s techs right now and like tht amount of drop, but I would like to do the spring mount mod in the rear just a bit....I was running eibach pro's for a 350z, but it slamed the car too much and didn't allow my tokico dspec's to work well I think...too bumpy.....yeah I know if I got coilovers it may be a better ride thn my spring and struct combo, but I currently building another car right now....soooo just doing small mods on the g right now....actually painting my wheels now and hopefully seeing how it looks from there...
