Park neutral switch on G35 MT

Ok so I just got a new clutch and was driving my car and out of no were my service engine light comes on so I go to Autozone to use the ODB-2 to see what code comes up, and its a Park neutral switch. I would like to know if any one has fixed this and how hard is it and if there are any videos or step by step out there any help would be grate

Well I'll be damned learned something today. There is a physical neutral switch on the 6MT's, it's at the back of the transmission on the passenger side just opposite of the reverse switch that's on the driver side. I guess you have to get your vehicle up in the air and inspect the harness for damage firstly, if the harness looks good put in a new switch, here's a link to both the OEM Nissan switch and to Rock auto which has better pictures of the actual item.

Ohhh also, if you install a new one it needs a little rtv sealant on the threads and torque is 21 ft/lbs.

Probably just didn't plug it back in all the way when doing the clutch replacement. Should be an easy fix to get under there and verify everything is plugged in. Hopefully someone didn't get silly with a trans jack and damage the switches/sensors.

I heard in MT its under the clutch not on the tranny like and Auto car. is that true or not or does any one have and pics or video of the install. would that cause my car to stall out when I punch it hard in all gears and then pop in neutral or am I looking at a new problem now too ?

Ok I found it lol. I found a few sites online that say its the one under my clutch pedel what is that one called that's under my lutch so I don't have to do both

Pretty sure it's just called the clutch pedal switch, it serves two purposes, ignition interlock and to cancel cruise control.

With uprev ARC it can serve more purposes

If your vehicle is starting properly then that switch is probably fine.

actually 2 switches on the clutch pedal. One at bottom for ignition interlock, one at top for cruise cancel (and uprev ARC features).

I have the ARC UpRev tune ok so do you think I should disconnect my battery when I try to unplug my switch. what do u think is the causing my car to stall out when I put it in neutral at high speed

Usually I unplug the battery before I go messing with any harnesses, I would take the vehicle to Nissan for a diagnostic about the stalling.
